Welcome to the Adventures of Larry and Connie Farquhar as we cruise fulltime around the world.

Pegs & Jokers

Revised Pegs & Jokers Game Piece

I revised the design of our Pegs & Jokers game set. While the game is the same, the playing pieces are slightly smaller and connect together in a different manner. This makes the game pieces fit better in the provided carrying bag and prevents accidently breakage. For over 20 years, we've played a game with our camping and RV friends called "Pegs & Jokers". We've introduced this game to ma...

Copper Canyon, Mexico RV Trip - Final Half

After leaving El Fuerte's heat and bugs we were happy to be on a beach for the next 5 days. We had a relatively short driving day with a grocery stop at Walmart before stopping for our stay at Mr. Moro Hotel and RV Park in Las Glorias Sinaloa. The next day was a relaxing day with a Margarita Party at the hotel's restaurant that evening. Mid afternoon several of our group gathered at the restaurant...

Copper Canyon, Mexico RV Trip - First Half

While the name of our next RV caravan tour is called "Copper Canyon", it will be a highlight. Our main destination and turnaround point will be Mazatlán. After we crossed back into the U.S. at the east Mexicali border from our Baja trip, we made a long drive bee-lining to Tucson to get ready for our next trip down the Mexico mainland. We had 2 days to resupply our groceries, get our tire fixed and...

Baja California, MX RV Trip - Last 3 Weeks

While staying in La Paz, we had a bus trip to Todos Santos and stopped at a cafe on the way. Good drinks and food, then we continued on the trip. After a short tour of the town and spending a couple hours exploring, we headed off to have lunch at "The Green Room" on the beach with good food. Some old Boomer friends are spending their winter in La Paz and came over to our RV for a great visit. Than...

Baja California, MX RV Trip - First 2 Weeks

La Paz, When we bought our 2023 Leisure Travel Van (LTV) "Unity" motorhome in May 2023, we learned of a caravan heading to the tip of Baja California, Mexico. What was special about this caravan, was that it consisted only of LTV vans. I had always wanted to drive the entire length of Baja California but never made this RV trip in our big rig. While we've never preferred to pay for a caravan ...

Canadian Maritimes - Part 4

After our 16-hour ferry crossing, which was fairly smooth considering there was a storm moving in, we checked into Arm of Gold Campground. This is the campground where we had our new Starlink mailed to. So now we have our own internet, and we had a proper full-service site! We stayed here to do all the chores, restock, and refill all the tanks to get ready for the next portion of our adventure, ex...

Canadian Maritimes - Part 3

Picking up where I left off... Our next stop was at Dildo Run Provincial Park, Newfoundland (NL). This was a nice park, but (again) there wasn't any cell service. We drove the 20-miles each day to get cell service in the cute town of Twillingate. We stayed here for about a week. While here, we visited the Great Auk Winery, the Horny Head Lighthouse, attended the Twillingate Dinner Theater, and vis...

Canadian Maritimes RV Trip - Part 2

On July 8th, we got in line to board the ferry to Channel-Port aux Basques, Newfoundland. I didn't know how to make a booking (reservation) for our motorhome towing the truck, so I just made two separate bookings.  It ended up being a little cheaper this way. The ferry ride was smooth, except it wasn't quiet trying to sleep in the lounge chairs. We were exhausted when we arrive...

Canadian Maritime RV Trip - Part 1

In mid 2020, Connie and I were heading to the Canadian Maritimes (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, and Prince Edward Island) to spend a few months exploring Northeast Canada. We were still living and traveling fulltime in our 40' Phaeton motorhome. We got as far as Massachusetts when we had to change plans due to COVID-19 closing the borders. It was July 2020 when we turned West...

Catching Up! - Panama Canal Cruise

I've really been a slacker! I haven't kept this Blog current, mainly since everyone is using Facebook now. But this Blog isn't just for you, it's for us also. We use this Blog as a record of our travels that we look back on. I thought I'd try to catch up on what we've been doing this past year. I also need to get back into the routine of updating this Blog with our travels, as we have a coupl...
