April 2006 Travel Log

4/30/06: Tucson, AZ: These past few days have been days of meeting old friends. A few days ago, we met John and Kathy Boddy again. We've been playing leap frog with them for the past couple months. We saw them in Texas at a couple places and they beat us to Tucson. Then a couple days ago, we had dinner with fellow Boomers Bob and Ann Peay. They spend their winters in San Carlos, Mexico, where they...

5/27/06: Apache Junction, AZ: Happy Memorial Day Weekend! Please take a few moments to remember all of those who have sacrificed so much for our freedom and way of life. We must never forget. 7/31/06: Keystone, SD: Well, we've survived a month here! All of a sudden yesterday, life got more entertaining here. a dozen or more hummingbirds suddenly appeared and are putting on a show for us. Actually, they're fighting for possession of the few hummingbird feeders out. We've had one large one out since we've been here, and they still haven't found it (yet). But the neighbors had a couple an...

August 2006 Travel Log

8/31/06: Keystone, SD: Yesterday, our 2nd day off for the week, we just spend around the house relaxing with hobbies. Connie spent most of the day filling the home with tantalizing aromas. She LOVES to cook and play with recipes, and I sure don't mind being her Ginny pig for tasting her creations. Her first batch of home made cinnamon rolls were good, but her 2nd batch are delicious! Although she ...
