Netherlands? Did We Make Another Wrong Turn?

Campercamping Blij Venneke, Duizel, Netherlands

Next Saturday, we can't return the motorhome until 8:00AM and our flight leaves at 11:30AM. That only gives us 3 hours to return the rental (with inspection), get a taxi to the airport, check-in and go through security. I don't like taking chances with timing when flying. We've booked a hotel ($63 US) near the airport and near the rental return location for the night befor...

We Made It to Caravan-Salon!

Marktkirche Sankt Nicolai, Hameln, Germany

Sorry I haven't updated this blog lately, but we had terrible Internet service and no electricity for several days. Let's get caught up. Better late than never... Poland? Did We Make A Wrong Turn?

Fish Camp in Ownice, Poland

No wrong turn - a trip to Poland was a last minute decision. One of the nice things of traveling by motorhome is the freedom to change plans on a whim. We drove not far from the campground to a Cr...

Exploring Berlin

Brandenburg Gate

August 22nd  Not much happening today at the Stellplatz in Eisenberg, Germany. We stuck around the motorhome catching up on photos, videos, and updating this blog. We had planned to do some shopping and perhaps get a good meal out, but everything is closed - it's Sunday. Although, it wasn't really a "Sun" day, it rained all day long.  ☺  August 23rd Still raining, bu...

Berlin or Bust

Gate into Dachau Concentration Camp

August 19th  We moved about an hour away to the small town of Hochspeyer. Along the way, we detoured to the US Military Base in Sembach. We were stationed here from 1983-1986 when it was operated by the USAF. Since then, they've turned half of the base over to the community and it's now an industrial area. The other half is now operated by the US Army. We were curious to what it looked ...
