Our Travel Adventures - Cruising Fulltime

Welcome to the Adventures of Larry and Connie Farquhar as we cruise fulltime around the world.

Europe, Here We Come! (I hope)

We had heard there was a Bobcat with a couple kittens in the area of our home, but we never saw them... until the other day. I installed a camera at the front of the house that alerts us and records when there's motion. The other evening, the camera recorded the three bobcats. They came out from the side of our house and crossed the driveway. Here's the short video that was captured.  I ...

Travel Restrictions Lifted!

Atlas Motorhome by Knaus

France, and other European countries started allowing US citizens to enter and travel again starting June 9th. When this looked to be firm, we made arrangements to fly out of Phoenix, AZ August 10th, arriving in Paris, France on August 11th. We'll return to the US on September 11th, giving us a month to "test the waters" and start our European adventures. The flight is booked, so I ...

New Travel Plans!

It's hard to believe that we've been in Prescott, Arizona for almost a year now. We moved here mid-July, 2020. We bought Larry's parents house and have been busy repairing and upgrading it. Some of the work was contracted out, and we did some of it ourselves. It's been fun. We're finally finished with all of the big projects we had planned.  Here's the major projects we completed: F...

Settled In Arizona

The View Out Our Kitchen WIndow

A lot has happened with us over the past several months. Since the COVID pandemic changed our travel plans, we've been settling down in Arizona. While starting to cleanup Larry's dad's house to sell, we decided to buy it ourselves. After living and traveling full time in a motorhome for the past 16 years, we're homeowners again. We still have the motorhome and will continue to make trips. Currentl...

Our BIG Travels Plans Catch the Virus!

For the past year, Connie and I have been making plans to take our full time RV travel plans to the next level. As Johnny Cash sings, "I've been Everywhere Man". Reading the words in Johnny's song, there's only 5 or 6 places mentioned that we haven't been to (we think). Since we've seen most of the USA, we thought it was time to take our travels to Europe. We have several friends who have or...

Road Trip to Arizona

Mill Creek Corps of Engineer Campground, Berlin Lake, OH

It was time to get to Arizona and help manage my Dad's house. We usually don't like to "rush" anywhere, but it was important we get back to the west soon. We planned a 12-day trip to get from Massachusetts to Arizona. Not really "rushing", but a pretty quick trip for us. Normally, we like to keep our travel days under 5 hours. We also wouldn't be driving everyday. Since we couldn't get our last mi...

Family in Massachusetts

Near Fourth Cliff Recreation Area, MA

When leaving the Gifford Pinchot State Park in Pennsylvania, we had a small problem bringing in a slide-out. We discovered we had a stow-away family tucked up under the awning. Unfortunately, I'm now a home wrecker and baby murderer. One of the eggs broke while I was removing the nest. A couple months ago, we wrote that since Cape Cod cancelled our reservations, we didn't know where we were going....

Exploring Pennsylvania

Gettysburg Battlefield, PA

Before leaving Ohiopyle State Park in Pennsylvania, we made one last day trip out exploring. This turned out to be a fun filled day! While enjoying a beautiful drive on the Pennsylvania country roads, we stumbled upon the "Kings Bridge",  a 127-foot truss covered bridge. Originally built in 1806, it's been renovated about every 100 years since. Very nice and sturdy construction. Later in ...

Touring Michigan, Part Two

Mackinac Bridge Viewed From Fort Mackinac

Before leaving Sault Ste. Marie, we toured the Museum Ship Valley Camp. The Museum Ship Valley Camp was built in 1917 and retired in 1966. After 1966, the 550 foot long freighter was permanently docked on historic Water Street and transformed into a museum. The Valley Camp offers more than just a tour of her deck. Visitors can explore the wheelhouse, sleeping quarters, and her cargo hold which now...

Thanksgiving with Friends

Cocoa Beach, Florida

Time is passing by fairly quick, although we haven't been doing much other than relaxing. Isn't that what "not traveling" and enjoying a winter break is supposed to be about? Our traveling friends, Bob and Joyce Childre, have a "sticks and bricks" home about 90 minutes from here. We met these friends in the Arizona desert about 12 years ago. Since then, we meet up about every 2- 3 years and ...
