Plans are Flexible

Just a quick update... After we arrived at the Joint Base Charleston RV Park, SC, we visited downtown Charleston for a quick visit. We just walked around a historic area of Georgian row houses, avoiding people. Many of the row houses from the mid-1600's have been renovated. It was an interesting walk. But it was the next day that news on the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) in the USA quic...

Living an "Isolated" Life

Joint Base Charleston RV Park, SC
After arriving at the Joint Base Charleston in South Carolina 22 days ago, the COVID-19 situation in the USA got a lot more serious. After only a few days of arriving, we got word that the RV Park was closing. Soon, other military campgrounds, state parks, and federal campgrounds were announcing that they were also closed. These bloggers love to share their experiences, but if they are stuck at home or ...

Do We Stay, or Do We Move?

Staying at Joint Base Charleston, SC
We originally planned to be in Charleston, SC for 7 days. We've now been here 53 days, following the self-isolation guidelines. We know we're very lucky to have been able to stay at the military campground here, as we have full hook-ups, free WiFi (we don't use it), shopping near by, and are very secure. They closed the campground shortly after we arrived, but they allowed existing campers to stay...

Cuisine française tout en s'isolant

Connie's Busy Cooking Again!
For those who don't speak French (neither do we), this is titled "French Cooking While Isolating".   Cooking With Connie My thought was to challenge my cooking abilities every Sunday with a yummy dinner. I managed a few weeks worth since I last posted. I still haven't made the bagels yet. We're still working on eating the other bread goodies I made. I had some leftover puff pastry from Easter...
