It's not a question of "if" you'll get stuck, it's a question of "when". I'd rather spend more time on the trail than digging myself out. I also like to be able to assist my Jeeping buddies, when they get stuck!

 

Warn XD9000i Winch - Winches are a good/bad modification to your Jeep. When needed, a winch can be a life saver, yours or others. However, they also can give you a false sense of security, making you take chances you normally wouldn't take. I've found that I end up using a winch 80% of the time to help others, which I don't mind. I'm just glad it's not me that always is in a bad enough situation to require a winch.
Warn winchI originally wanted the Warn HS9500i winch, which has a little stronger pulling load, but is rated at a faster line speed. My local 4WD shop had this Warn XD9000i winch in stock and made me a deal I couldn't refuse. For the $150 lower price than a HS9500i, I figured I could deal with the slower line speed!
