I am enjoying your blog very much. I hope to be full timing in two years with my wife as workampers.
I am a maintenance supervisor for the University of Texas and my wife is the manager for the IT dept. Texas Parks and Wildlife. We have been RVing for 40 years. When you purchased your new Motorhome did you install a new solar system?

Admin reply: I'm transferring the solar system form the old rig to the new coach. I have the panels moved over, but still need to wire them in. We're currently traveling and will wait until I sit still for a couple weeks to complete the job. I also need to buy a few more items to replace what was left in the old rig. Stay tuned - I'll write a short "technical" article on the new solar installation.

E-mail: Contact 		Great web site. We will visit often. We like to think that we are Long-Timers. We try to be out six months or so; then come back to our home in the Ocala Forest in Florida during the winter. Sorta like opposite of Snow Birds.
Looks like you are really enjoying the life.

Admin reply: I never cared much for the term "snow birds". I prefer "sun birds" - we follow the sun. We'll get this website back to being updated regularly again soon. I think we're heading to Florida again this winter also.

Admin reply: Hi guys! I know I've let the website slip. We don't get many visitors to the site anymore and I've been very busy with work this summer. I come home and don't feel like working on the computer. I'll catch us up soon, at least the travel logs on what we've been doing. Nothing exciting lately - just working in the forest.

This website is fun to read and provides priceless info for those who would be considering fulltiming. Don't you meet wonderful people!! Ain't this lifestyle great?! I, too, attended several Life on Wheels classes in PA, KY and Iowa. They were most helpful. I think I attended before your time as I have been out now since 2002. My Mom is getting up there now (83) so I don't wander as far from Michigan as I once did. Hope to run into you on the road sometime. I'm in a little 23.5 foot Aerolite. Keep smiling..
